Beginning on January 21, 2012, WGC will begin automatically purging user names for users that have not logged in for 14 months. This will allow people a chance to register user names that have been previously registered, but are no longer being used. We settled on 14 months to allow people to hold on to holiday names that they actually use each year. This process will be automatic, and no notice will be sent to members to warn them when a user name is about to be deleted.

If you have a user name that you haven’t used in a while, but would like to keep, you do not need to contact anyone or take any special action. Simply use the name to play at WGC. Each time you use the name our system records the date and time. As long as the name has been used within the preceding 14 months, it will be safe. If you no longer wish to keep one of your names, you don’t have to do anything. Once it has expired, we will simply return it to the pool for someone else to enjoy.
