Some of you might remember on the old Zone; of all the trouble that certain elements used to cause, one of the things they used to do was clone nics. In other words, they used to make up a nic that was similar to the nic of another regular player, and pretend to be that player.
One of my big disappointments on the Zone was that no one ever tried to clone my nic and pretend to be *me*. Once or twice I got someone who made a "parody" nic, one that obviously wasn't me, but there were enough similarities in the nic for people to realise what was happening. But I never had anyone actually try to *clone* me with the intent to deceive.
I haven't seen much cloning go on at WGC -- a little bit has occurred, but what I have seen has tended to be more along the lines of "parodying". For instance, we are seeing on the Forums at the moment that there's a bit of parodying going on. And this is what is kind of, like, making me a tad annoyed.
I think I have a fairly distinctive posting style. I tend to drone on and on and on, in a rather pedantic and self-righteous style,c iting chapter and verse in support of my dogmatic assertions. I'm, like, almost, totally *begging* to be parodied.
And what have we seen?
In the latest spate of Forum postings, so far we have seen that Risk Factor has been parodied; bootwo has been parodied; even tout_va_bien has been parodied.
BUT WHERE IS MY PARODY ?????????? Am I so worthless, so insignificant, so far beneath the notice of anyone around here that no one has seen fit to make even the lamest of efforts to parody me?
It's the Zone all over again. What am I doing wrong? What exactly does a gal have to do to get parodied around here ???????

In tried, nashi...sigh but you just cant be parodied...ad Risk is on vacation so tout_va_mal (its what it would have been correct) for us when we dont know who boo is.. sigh:( PinkieNoClones
We are just having harmless fun here at forum, we intent not to harm anyone. This nics are just to have a laugh!! We will no use them at the game boards, and we don't care too. Again, this is just harmless fun
I just noticed that you created your nic only 6 minutes after the person who started this thread. If you consider that it takes about 2-3 minutes to sign-up, that narrows the gap to 3-4 minutes. Now that is just an incredible coincidence.
