Hello INdy,

The start of my sentence was prefaces "if". I have/had no knowledge of the actual incident in question. I gave my viewpoint on a particular hypothetical scenario that I had only ever seen played out in hearts.

I made a statement of what I would consider to be a problem, and didn't mean to characterize this situation as the same.

Mike

I am about as far removed from this scenario as anyone can be. I just am a human being raised by loving parents and with a reasonable, but not overly, intelligent mind. It happens, too, I am a backgammon player, tho not particularly skilled at it.

I just want to say that from what I have been able to gather from all this discussion, I most certainly would NOT come to the conclusion that what this WGC Tourney Host did in a pm "was a low act". That would depend entirely upon the situation (ie the facts and all the background we don't know about). And WE DONT KNOW THE SITUATION. I do NOT think that it was disgusting or unprofessional for a WGC Tourney Host to do what he/she did. In fact, Rafael, if I had been you (which I wasn't), I would have been grateful to that host for the CONSIDERATION of providing me with information that he/she thought I might value. PERHAPS, he/she thought that you enjoyed his/her tourneys and you MIGHT like to know that he/she was moving to another site. JUST TAKE IT LIKE THAT! Don't see shenanigans going on. Don't see misbehavior. Don't see conspiracy theories. Geeeeez Louise! You might have your opinion on something but I don't think that what you did was any more or less noble than what the tourney host did. Like I said, YOU DID NOT KNOW THE SITUATION. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT MOTIVATED THEM.

You might be / could be the nicest person that there is .. I want to believe that you could be an angel. You could also be a murderer, a thief, a terrorist. I will choose not to judge you since I DONT KNOW YOU. And you didn't know that tourney host .. but you chose to create a big stink about it. You had that right! OF COURSE YOU DID! But are you the better person?

I bet you MONEY that this particular tourney host had decided to leave for whatever reason and THOUGHT, MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, that you loved his/her tourneys and might want to know that they were moving their tours to another site. Is that such a bad thing? Don't we have more important things to worry about?

This whole discussion about loyalty to this site or any site amuses me. WGC is a wonderful site. There are nice people here and it offers certain amusements. If you want to play here you are welcome to play here and I'm sure WGC hopes you have a pleasant visit and will come back. If you choose to play somewhere else there is nothing stopping you.

Before I close, I would just like to tell ya'll about my new innovation. I have built this new improved mouse trap that I am very excited about. I call it the SUPER MOUSE TRAP 5000 PLUS. This is how it works. There is this little mouse house I have built and inside this mouse "house" is some really cool features I think the mice will LOVE. There is a friend's list inside for all the little mice! And before the mouse eats the cheese inside, there is a little mouse desk where the mouse can sit down and email his/her little mouse friends back home. And THERE ARE LITTLE MOUSE EMOTICONS! But then, sadly, after the little mouse has fun with his lil mouse friend's list and the lil mouse emoticons, sadly for the mouse (and lucky for you) the little mouse house collapses in on the mouse and kills it instantly. It will happen so fast the lil mouse won't know what hit it. So BE THE FIRST ON YOUR BLOCK to own RISKY'S SUPER MOUSE TRAP 5000 PLUS! (And because I know some of you are sensitive to learning about certain places and products via PMs, I promise to PM nobody about my product).

In response to what you say Rafael, you are half correct. i was told the post in question was done on a different day.
And you are right risk factor, i was put in the position of moving and was only letting players know. You are very brave
for admitting to being the one to start all this, well done Rafael.

GuestFunny thing here is that one person's misconception lead to alllllll sorts of chaos, hurt feelings, and hair trigger reactions from people that did not have the entire story. I believe the whole entire situation could have been avoided, but for the actions of a few with their head in the clouds. Had people taken a minute to take a deep breathe, and really look at the situation instead of "protecting" and manipulating situations, and of course listening to the wrong people, and abusing power. This site would have still been at status quo. Unfortunately, this did not happen, and it really is hard to go back and apologize after the damage is done.
Risk? you know i love your posts, always enlightning, and thought provoking, and at times u just get the blood boiling. Funny thing about your mouse trap??? Is the mice found a way out, and are now sitting by while the house crumbles. I believe you may have it misconstrued here. Stuff is nice, and it makes people wanna see it. So they go, they see, and try it out. Kind of like a new car with the newest gadgets. But, the staying factor is the comfort level. To be able to sit, be comfortable, and not have to worry about poo hitting the fan, or egomaniacs deciding you are not worth being here, etc etc. To be able to play in the sand box, and not have people kickin sand in each others face is a nice place to be. This used to be a nice sandbox. I hope that wgc will take the steps to correct the mistakes it made, and make it nice again. I do know that some of the sand kickers have decided to move to the new sandbox. Which i find really funny, that they blasted and ridiculed people for changing, yet they are there now. Some in hiders, so that no one will know who they are, ( doesnt work), Fortunately, sand kicking is not allowed nor will be tolerated. So your mouse trap??? may be a safe haven instead. but, as I said before a community is made up of many small neighborhoods. Maybe we all should realize that and embrace it, instead of tryng to burn each other down. All it does is leave burned out shells of what was once nice places. So lets stop the madness, and try to get back to what the original premise of an online gaming site is.
