Not sure whats going on here at wgc, but for sure it does not bode well. This is a gaming site for players to play in tournies of their choosing with hosts of their choosing, for fun and relaxation! With this new rule of restriciting any one room from having tours every hour ( 2 hours in between tours is new rule as of november 11). Why are you punishing rooms that run good tournies, with great hosts, and great players???? Is it becuase other rooms arent getting the numbers??? so you are trying to be fair??? The rooms that are losing the numbers are not doing so becuase of another room holding tournies every hour! They need to look inward and maybe look at their room, their hosts, and their treatment of players! This is probably the reason they are not getting numbers. And, even if their tourney is only one that hour they probably still wont get the numbers. But to restrict rooms from hosting tournies but every two hours is ridiculous!!!!!!! We lose our pluses, we lose our programmer, and now we are losing our tours. Please think about this, are you trying to force us to other sites???? Because ultimately that is what will happen. Restricting popular rooms tournies will not increase numbers in other rooms. Also, what about that wonderful rule you have with number of tournies a month in order to keep your room????? Now will you expect these rooms to give up their names??? because you are making it impossible to meet that goal???? Please give us our tournies back, in the rooms we choose to play, with the format they choose to run, at the times they choose to run them. If you truly look at your rule, you will realize that this every 2 hour rule is a pre cursor to people going elsewhere. Please dont allow that to happen, you have worked to long and hard to see this site implode. And to those rooms that are whining, please take a long hard look at the room itself, the hosts, and how you treat your players. If you make those changes for the positive maybe just maybe your numbers will increase accordingly. For anyone that feels strongly on this subject please email wacky daily, let our voices be heard. We are a strong force and we can make him listen. If we dont write and express our distress and objection, then we cannot complain at all when they change rules on us. Hi all .. Having logged tonite to learn of this new rule .. oh my.. whos bright idea was this??????? In the same email ur saying how u want to build WGC BG and tours.. and this new rule is going to KILL them. all u r doing is forcing ppl to go play at diff sites.. and yes.. they WILL go to a diff site. Most ppl in BG tours play rooms for the format and/ or the hosts.And having just checked a few nights in BG is NOT that many tours after 8pm.. I myself host 3 tours per night and yes all 60 mins apart .. 9 10 and 11pm's .. go look for urself .. some nights the tours that I host are the ONLY ones booked!!! so then tell me .. where u want the players to go to if NO tours booked?? a diff site??? So what If ppl who play the tours at night perfer to stay in 1 room and play the longer formats.. i host for the players .. not this site .. but for the players... and this new rule... u driving the players away with it .. The only thing I will add is dont just email Wacky but also jeff_wgc_opsdir .He needs to hear our voices LOUD and STRONG. If we remain silent on this it will be the ruination of this site so many have worked so hard on to make it a success.
WGC needs to take a look at the big picture and ask themselves why people are leaving .Its not because there arent enuf tours offered to them or that some of them dont have big numbers.
But more and more are going to leave if you do this with the tours ,You want new blood to come to WGC ,well when people leave here angry do you really think they are going to say anything positive about WGC!!!!
Please Jeff and anyone who has a voice in this decision rethink what your doing.
Yes please all let your voices be heard. Think about this Jeff and wacky and who ever else heads up this site. This site relies on 4 things. The programmer who keeps this site up and running, the support staff that keeps it running day to day, the hosts that GIVE THEIR TIME FOR FREE to host tours, and the players who come in here to play. One cannot survive without the other. So please tell me why are you running players away???? Why are you running " rooms" away???? Without these two groups the programmer and support staff will have nothing to do. So please email the powers that be, email them daily, hourly, by the minute, whatever it takes to make them really look at what they are doing. MorningMist you are correct, with the changes they are making they are making it easier for people to go elsewhere. For those of us that are out in round 1 or 2, we won't wait for 2 hours to play again. We will find somewhere else to play. We also will not play in rooms that we don't care to. We will go elsewhere. And other sites are primed and ready to add tours to accomodate those that come. So is that your goal????? Are you taking the same road that the Zone did????? Remember the zone tried to change the format of tours thinking that we would idlly sit by and accept their change. Instead what did we do???? We came here, we went somewhere else, we found a new home. Please don't make the same mistake the zone did, please don't make us find a new home!!!! When zone closed wgc was the only site that was decent to play at. Now in the past year others have started up. So we do not have to settle!!!! but!!!! we don't want us to go, so please don't make us pack our bags. Please allow the tours to stand how they are, and what is convienent to hosts and players. Knee jerk solutions to pacify a few, may end up coming back to bite ya. Just please reconsider.
Well what can i say.. Wacked ..here here Sweetie well said!!!! I host here for the players and the players only.. I had to start a new room and wasnt sure how it would go.. but the players have spoken by the numbers that keep coming into the room.. we do a 7..8..9..10 and a 11 PM pst is because the players WANTED this......they asked for the tours , so we gave them the tours...What am i going to do when they ask for more tours...Say sorry guys but WGC wont allow me to do anymore!!! I thought this site was for the PLAYERS!!!! i guess im wrong.. reducing the amout of tours we do will not make the numbers go up. (maybe in a few rooms but not for most ) It WILL drive them away thou!!!!!!!! Players are being told what they can and cant do.. that is wrong!!!!! I really dont understand why yr pushing the players and hosts away from this great site. Next your going to tell US that we can't do the bigger formats..will the 7/9/11 not be allowed?????.. or the 7/7 or even the 5/5..are u going to tell US we can only have so many hosts per room next?????? This site is about CHOICE !!! the players have a choice!!!the Hosts have a choice!!!!! why are u taking this from US!!!!!! I host because if i can make just one person smile and laugh in that tour.... then i have done my job!!!! i choose to do this!!! I may be a thorn but if we have tours spread every 2 hours then wont we have laods of tours at the exact time on a regular basis and wont this to dwindle numbers as everyone has there own personal choice to where and what format they like i just feel this will be making the situation worse for you
What really worries me is the potential mess of a complete reshuffle of existing long standing tours. Who's keeping regular slots and who has to cancel. Who would manage such a major change? Even with the current rules duplicate tour formats have been approved for steps and teams in BG so whoever will be charge managing such a project will not only have a huge job in terms of logistics but also an HR job in terms of keeping staff hosting. I host to fit in with my job and my family, I cannot just change either of those to fit with a new WGC rule.

Hi all, I just wanted to say a few words on this... I am a newish host, I decided to train because this site and the team here were so friendly and flexable, we as hosts and the people who play here do so out of choice and because there is variety......... I chose my slot because it fits in with my life my family and I am able to have the freedom to enjoy what i like to do, there will be many hosts out there who will struggle with the 2 hours, You are taking my joy away and my freedom to choose with this new rule. What of the player ur telling them which room to play in where is the choice in that, whats wrong with too many tours, we as hosts dont aim on numbers we aim to give joy and fun to those that come to play in our tours, numbers to me are nothing making sumone smile laff does! I love to host because of the flexabilty, this rule takes it away from me ( I would like to point out that the rule about teams and steps and the time apart to be good as I play also this gives people choice, the 1 sub for 3 man and 2 for 5 man dosnt, I cappy like many do, and my teamies like to support that dosnt make them go play in another room, it only puts more pressure on hosts because of the swapping.
