This poem was written by a young man who works his donkey off for this site. He is a host and offers everyday people a place where they can find a game. You should have used another thread to express your complaints about the way wgc is managed (as I did), but leave this thread to be what it was meant to be: a way to express love for wgc friends.
I apologise to any that took offense to the previous comment seen here. Obviously not everyone saw it as it was intended, therefore to avoid further controversy it was removed.
Still, if anyone has any difficulties making any of our games work that cannot be quickly solved using the Self Help FAQs, they should contact Support directly using the link in the upper right of this page.

All I want to add is a heart felt thnk you to the hosts that make possible for people like me to come to WGC and play a game. Things are tough now, but I really hope they get better. I will continue to come and play here as long as there is a game going!
I thought nothing could ever shock me again on this site. But it has happened. A player does a poem from his heart (a young 15 year old that has more heart than alot of us put together) and there are still an element that can not just leave that post alone and let people say only good things. Im sorry Mattie that you have to read this on the thread you started.
As the title suggests its "MY appreciation" to the people that make WGC possible. It is MY way of saying THANKYOU to these people. As Pinkie said "its a way to express love and gratitude towards this site WE visit daily.

One has to despair when Staff Members insist that the numbers playing on WGC has not changed for over 2 years. This gives no hope for those of us who constantly strive to encourage gameplay but are met with apathy or empty rooms. Please do not try to hide the fact that WGC is now only a Spades site. An occasional visit to the Backgammon rooms by Senior Management would confirm this. Open your eyes to the facts ... get your heads out of the sand and do something about it !
With all due respect, that's a saying that some parents choose to express to their small children. BUT, that saying is stupid in the literal sense. It certainly is not appropriate for adults to live their life by saying nothing all the time just because what they have to say may be construed as negative.
MANY times in life there is injustice, or even a difference of opinion, and someone wants to share a different view point. Sitting idly by and doing nothing is often times not the correct path at all.
I believe nashi has every right to express his opinion of the poem. He was not rude or inconsiderate.
If someone writes something into a public forum then one is going to get comments, good and bad. Some comments will be well thought out; some will be thoughtless.
I have no doubt that nashi would agree that Mattie is a well-meaning individual who is just trying to be nice. Sometimes our words are just a little "over the top" or too cheesy, if you know what I mean? I have been known to do the same thing from time to time. Play to win !
